our Story

As we celebrate over 30 years, we want to further elevate our mission to make an even larger impact in our communities and for the individuals and families whom are so positively affected by the Carl Inserra Leukemia Fund.

Our annual event is held in honor of Carl Inserra who passed away in 1987.  He lived life to the fullest, enjoying every moment.  His greatest joy was the birth of his son, Carl Jr.

Unfortunately, after a two year courageous battle with leukemia and two bone marrow transplants at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington, Carl succumbed to this dreaded disease.

Carl’s love for life and the support he received from his family, friends and associates, gave us the inspiration to begin this fundraising event to benefit others in memory of Carl.

The Carl Inserra Leukemia Fund contributes to research, education and equipment in various medical facilities, as well as assistance to ease the financial burden of patients and their families.

We support many food pantries in our local communities and donate food products to churches, synagogues and schools for various fundraising events. Over the past 30 years, your support has
